WHO WE ARE

Guesno Mardy, Sionfonds Haiti director is also the director of Foyer De Sion Orphanage. Annie Blackstone, Sionfonds U.S. director is the mother of two Haitian girls adopted from Haiti and on the Board of Directors for Foyer De Sion Inc.

Through their experience with the orphans of Haiti, it is clear that working to help keep Haitian families together is vitally important. Making education, healthcare and opportunity available, in communities where poverty and hopelessness can tear a family apart, is the goal of Sionfonds.

With the help of many generous donors and people around the world, Guesno and Annie have grown Sionfonds into an affective humanitarian aid organization. Sionfonds sends hundreds of children to school each year, and brings healthcare and job training to the rural areas of Haiti that Sionfonds serves.

OUR MISSION

Sionfonds works to assist rural Haitians, to improve their quality of life. We do this by providing, education, job training, community improvements and healthcare. It is our goal, through our assistance and support to strengthen Haitian families. Sionfonds hopes to mitigate some of the effects of poverty and lack of opportunity that cause families to give up their children or migrate to urban slums, where they are not likely to find the opportunity they seek.

OUR VISION

To provide, education, healthcare, job training, and community improvements in order to assist rural Haitian families to raise their standard of living. Our goals are, providing free education for the children who attend our schools in Masson and Gaviollon, tuition assistance to children in the community and surrounding area of Belle Anse. Building new school facilities in Masson and Gaviollon. Providing school supplies, to all children in our program. Regularly bring medical teams and set up clinics in the communities we work in. We also will create Adult literacy classes, job training and other opportunities for adults to gain skills to provide for their families. We believe by alleviating some of the burdens of crushing poverty and bringing hope and opportunity to rural villages, where there are no other services, it will be uplifting to the whole community.
